Broussard first responders are investigating an explosion at a chemical company on Kol Drive.
Fire Chief Bryan Champagne says the fire is out at this time, and HazMat is on scene taking care of the chemicals. Champagne says the company was mixing products which led to the "small explosion".
One person was taken to the hospital with minor-moderate injuries.
