A 50-year-old man was arrested Tuesday stemming from an investigation of a burglary of a Franklin business.
Rodney Manuel, of Franklin, was arrested on a warrant for simple burglary after being caught on surveillance camera on April 16 allegedly burglarizing the business, according to police.
The Franklin Police Department, along with the assistance of the Morgan City Police Department and the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted a search warrant on Manuel’s residence on Monday.
Investigators say Manuel has several prior convictions for burglary and illegal possession of stolen things that dates back to 1985.
Manuel was booked into the Franklin City Jail on a $75,000 bond.
