Reduce, reuse, recycle: that’s the theme for Earth Day.
On Saturday, Vermilionville served as a hub for learning more about how to take care of the planet.
"Take some fun home with you, come and enjoy the crafts, enjoy the presenters, learn a little bit, and take home the fact that this is the only planet; this is it," said Greg Guidroz, Director of Environmental Awareness for the Bayou District.
The line-up of activities included biking, yoga, boat tours and a cooking demonstration on how to make your own feta cheese.
Everyone who joined the event was able to take home a free tree.
