Current and former French teachers are getting a big merci from CODOFIL.
The celebration at the Acadiana Center for the Arts featured an oral history station where teachers and students told their stories of how French education shaped their lives.
"Even if it’s just a little bit, that gives you a place at the table. Our theme for the 50th anniversary is French words, and CODOFIL would like to invite everyone to take a place at that table, so I would encourage everyone to learn at least a little bit, even if it means just saying ‘bonjour’ to a friend instead of saying ‘hello,’ said Matt Mick, Communications Director for CODOFIL.
