No injuries have been reported after a tornado touched down in Lafourche Parish, an area sitting below New Orleans, deputies say.
Video posted to Facebook shows the tornado tracking closely behind a family inside their vehicle.
According to the National Weather Service, the tornado touched down in Galliano at 9:46 a.m.
Officials say the tornado caused roof damage to several homes and buildings, and it pushed vehicles into a field. Power lines were also knocked down.
