One man is dead following an early morning shooting on I-10, just west of Duson.
Acadia Parish Sheriff’s deputies responded to a vehicle crash and discovered Darrell Singleton, 31, of Breaux Bridge, dead inside his vehicle, which had veered off the side of the roadway, Chief Gibson says.
Deputies say Singleton had been shot.
Investigators believe the circumstances leading up to the shooting may have started in another parish, but they say gunshots were heard near the Duson exit as the victim headed west.
Chief Gibson says there are no suspects at this time.
