The Greater Southwest Louisiana Black Chamber of Commerce is honoring business leaders and students for helping the community.
The organization held an event this evening at the Cajun Convention Center to celebrate its trailblazers and scholarship award recipients.
Organizers say the annual award ceremony will recognize those who work behind the scenes, and they hope the event will inspire others to give back to the community.
"You know, these individuals strive endlessly to help us day in and day out, so it’s amazing to give back to them through a philanthropic effort," said Greater SWLA Black Chamber of Commerce President Corey Frank.
