Rapides Parish Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Pineville man in connection with the sexual battery of a juvenile.
Ryland Shane Laprarie, 26, was booked with one count sexual battery. He was released after posting $5,000 bond.
The investigation began last month when deputies were called to the Philadelphia Community about a sexual battery. According to the initial report, the complainant stated that the juvenile victim was inappropriately touched by an adult. The case was turned over to Detectives from the Kolin Substation and through the course of the investigation, they were able to establish sufficient probable cause that supported the original allegations.
Detectives obtained a warrant on Laprarie for sexual battery and on April 18th, Detectives took Laprarie into custody without incident.
