Two youths are facing child pornography charges over nude photos sent over social media.
Police say administrators at Bonne École Elementary school notified them after they found nude photos of a female student on another student’s phone. Police say they learned that the girl took the nude photos of herself and sent them to a male student, who then allegedly shared them on Snapchat.
“Most kids are not aware, but sending a nude photo of themselves is a crime," Slidell Police Chief Randy Fandel said. "Parents need to have a candid conversation with their kids about the seriousness, and the long term effects, of taking and sending nude photographs.”
