A 25-year-old Lake Charles man is wanted for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars in metal products.
Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s deputies responded to Hwy 3059 on Wednesday in reference to a burglary, according to Chief Deputy Christopher Ivey. The suspect fled in his vehicle once deputies arrived and a pursuit ensued. Deputies say Steven Sean Willis fled on foot into a wooded area at the dead end of a road in Calcasieu Parish and escaped arrest.
Willis is wanted for the theft of $6,000 in metal pipe, pipe fittings and other items, stated Ivey. Additional charges are pending for the flight from an officer and resisting.
