Officials with Atmos Energy say that damage to the gas line that left several hundred customers without gas is expected to be repaired today.
Atmos says that once repairs are complete they will begin the lengthy process to re-light the nearly 300 affected customers. Those customers are expected to have gas services restored at some point today. Several additional Atmos Energy crews have been called in to assist the process.
The break occurred on Wednesday after a third-party contractor damaged a line on Kaliste Saloom and North Meyers. The damage was isolated and any leaks were stopped Wednesday afternoon. Officials say there is no cause for concern and no roadways will be closed during the repairs.
