Coroner: Death in Henderson hardware store fire ruled accident

The St. Martin Parish Coroner has said the death of a man following a fire at Robin’s Hardware in Henderson has been ruled as an accident; the cause of death was smoke inhalation.  

Just after midnight on November 19, 2017, investigators responded to a fire at the store, but it wasn’t until the next day that a body was found inside by owners sifting through the rubble.  According to the Fire Marshal’s Office, the victim, Andres Manuel Miguel, was reported missing the next day.  

The cause of the fire still remains unknown due to the extent of the fire damage.
