The Basin Dance Collective are the guest performers for the Hilliard University Art Museum’s Creative Conversation on Wednesday.

In the program, Clare Cook will create a movement experience that blurs the lines between observer and performer. In this program, sharing dances inspired by the photographic artwork of Tina Freeman and Lyda Frese. The presentation is free and open to all ages of people.

The event begins at 6 p.m. at the museum, 710 E. St. Mary Boulevard.

The museum offers free admission every Wednesday night at the museum from 5-8 PM in order to provide increased access to the arts for the people of Acadiana. During the fall and spring semesters, the museum features a weekly program, beginning at 6 PM, which are complimentary to the current season of exhibitions and provide a cross-disciplinary approach to learning.

The programs could be an artist talk, a film screening or a concert. The aim, organizers say, is for Wednesday nights to be a place where the community can come together and have a space to talk with artists and experts but more importantly to talk with each other.
