Southside High School’s theatre department held their first theatrical production this evening, Steel Magnolias.
"We also have six really dedicated actresses who have put a lot of time and energy into their rehearsals, and I think it really shows through in their performances as well," said Tiffany Poirrier, who teaches theatre at the Youngsville high school.
There will be a matinee performance at 2 p.m.
The school is located at 312 Almonaster Road.
