The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is asking for those taking photos on campus to tone down the glitter and remove the trash after photo shoots.

On Facebook, the university posted several photos showing the mess left after photo shoots on campus. Two pinpointed glitter and confetti used in photo shoots left on walkways and in grassy areas on the Quad. The worry, the post states, is that metallic glitter and trash, which may not easily biodegrade could wash into waterways or potentially find its way into the bodies of animals that live on campus.

One photo shows a red-stained balcony at Martin Hall, remnants of a photo shoot using confetti, according to UL. Photo shoots are still encouraged on campus, but officials are asking that those who wish to use props, be responsible and clean up after themselves.
