Jeff Davis Parish deputies arrested a Lacassine man Friday on several warrants following a stand-off at his home.

Joshua Daigle, 40, was booked into the Jeff Davis Parish jail on a local warrant for unauthorized use of a debit card. He also was booked into the Calcasieu Parish jail, where he remains today.

A couple of years ago, Daigle was arrested when deputies found a pipe bomb in the car he was driving. To ready our story on that arrest, click here

The stand-off started on Thursday when Calcasieu deputies went to Daigle’s home in Lacassine to arrest him on a warrant. Daigle allegedly locked himself in his attic. Traffic was stopped on Highway 90 between Lacassine and Iowa, because of concerns that Daigle was armed.

The stand-off went on for about 12 hours, until Calcasieu SWAT deployed tear gas, deputies say. Daigle came out of the attic around 4 a.m. Friday.
