The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a teen in connection with a vehicle pursuit in Lafayette and St. Martin Parish in March.
Deputies say 18-year-old Gage Rochelle was arrested Monday in St. Martin Parish. Rochelle was wanted in connection with a pursuit of a stolen jeep which occurred on March 31, 2018.
The incident occurred on Mills Road and ended on the 600 block of Malapart Road when the vehicle, allegedly occupied by Rochelle and three others, crashed into a ditch. All those inside the vehicle then fled on foot, three were arrested shortly after the incident.
Rochelle was booked into the St. Martin Parish jail then released to the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center. He is being held on a $30,000 bond
