Applications open for arts award program

The Acadiana Center for the Arts has opened applications for the L. Hill Bonin, Jr. Memorial Award.

This arts award program is available for high school and college students throughout Acadiana, pursuing short-term educational opportunities in the arts or arts administration. The award is also available to non-profit organizations or groups that propose arts production or activities, which involve and benefit high school and/or college students. 

Recipients are chosen by the Bonin Awards Committee. After meeting eligibility criteria, applicants are chosen based on artistic merit of the proposed project, planning and design of the proposal, appropriate request, and plans for the use of funds.

The application deadline is April 20, 2018. Applications must be hand-delivered to Acadiana Center for the Arts by 4:30pm, or postmarked (by the post office) no later than Friday, April 20, 2018. The funding period for this award is May 1, 2018 – April 30, 2019.
