St. Landry deputies investigating Sunday shooting near Hebert’s Boudin Stop

St. Landry Parish deputies are asking for more information into a shooting incident at Hebert’s Boudin Stop on I-49 in Opelousas on Sunday. 

Deputies say that they received a call on April 1, 2018, regarding suspicious people and vehicles at around 2:26 a.m. at the boudin stop on the I-49 service road in Opelousas. Later that evening calls were received indicating a shooting took place in that same area. 

According to reports, deputies say that a 14-year-old was fighting with a 25-year-old woman when the shooting took place. Both sustained non-life threatening injuries. 

Hebert’s Boudin Stop was closed at the time of the incident and all those involved in allegedly left the scene prior to officers arrival. No arrests have been made.
