The National Hurricane Center has put an outlook out for the next five days indicating an area where we may see the potential for some tropical development in the next five days.

Currently there is a 20% chance of some for of development, mostly because a front is stalled out in the Gulf and sometimes this can cause a non tropical low to form along the boundary.

There is, however, no real model support for tropical development nor is the environment overly favorable for development.

This is more a quick recognition by the National Hurricane Center that they're watching a particular area, not an announcement that a storm is imminent.
