Revelers in Rayne were able to enjoy Mardi Gras once again with the return of their parade.

Last year, the parade was cancelled due to rain, but this year, nothing stopped the city from hosting their Mardi Gras festivities.

The parade rolled at 3 p.m., starting near Rayne State Bank and ending at the Frog Fest Pavilion.

The party didn’t stop once the parade was over. Dozens enjoyed chicken and sausage gumbo, hamburgers, beverages and live music from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the pavilion.

James “Jimmy” Prevost and Darien Ramon’ Harmon were this year’s grand marshal and junior grand marshal, respectfully.

KATC will be out at local parades in Lafayette Parish. For up-to-the minute information on all the fun, make sure you check out our Float Finder page on Facebook. Click the Float Finder image for more.
