The teen who was shot this past weekend has died from his injuries, deputies say.
This weekend, Lafayette Parish Sheriff's deputies reported that a 17-year-old was in critical condition after a Sunday afternoon shooting.
They were called to the 100 block of Sweetbriar Street just after 1:30 p.m., and found him there with a gunshot wound.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition yesterday.
This investigation is ongoing, deputies say.
