More than two dozen businesses downtown were hit by high water early Thursday - but that doesn't mean anyone should stay home from Festival tonight.
Kevin Blanchard, CEO of Downtown Lafayette, says the businesses are cleaning up and will be ready for Festival foot traffic Thursday evening.
If you want to help these small businesses who are trying to make it, the best way to do that is to come to festival and stop in, Blanchard said.
