UPDATE: Lafayette Police said the crash on I-49 has been cleared.
UPDATE: Two people were taken to the hospital following a crash on I-49 near Pont des Mouton Rd. involving multiple vehicles, according to Lafayette Police.
Video obtained by KATC shows an Acadian ambulance on its side in the median. An Acadian Ambulance spokesperson said the medics were transported to a local hospital.
Police said to expect delays in the immediate area.
ORIGINAL: Police in Lafayette are working a crash on I-49 near Pont des Mouton Rd. that is slowing down traffic in the area.
Lafayette 911 reported that first responders were working a major crash on the interstate.
Avoid the area for now.
