Lafayette, LA - A Lafayette police officer was arrested Sunday and is being placed on administrative leave following charges of battery of a dating partner and false imprisonment.
The officer, identified as Christian Hinson, was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on the aforementioned charges.
Mr. Hinson will be placed on administrative leave immediately upon his release, a release states.
Hinson was class president for the 174th Acadiana Law Enforcement Training Academy class.
