LAFAYETTE PARISH — UPDATE: Ronderick Duhon, 43, of Lafayette was identified as the driver of the vehicle involved in the fatal crash on Alcide Dominique Drive Friday night.
A preliminary investigation found that Duhon was traveling eastbound when, for reasons still unknown, he lost control of the motorcycle and struck a curb, causing him to crash. Duhon suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. The vehicle's passenger was taken to Lafayette General Medical Center with moderate injuries and is listed in stable condition, according to police.
The area has been cleared and has returned to normal traffic flow, but the crash remains under investigation.
