Jeff Davis Electric will have a scheduled outage tomorrow, Thursday, October 16, 2025, starting at 8 AM at the Michigan-Wisconsin Substation.
This outage is required to connect this substation to grid power using newly constructed 230 kV line, removing the need for generator power, officials say.
The outage is expected to last 10 hours.
Members of Grand Chenier, Oak Grove, E. Creole Hwy., Mermentau River Rd., and Little Chenier Rd. will be affected by the outage, officials say.
