NEW IBERIA, La. — Two people have been arrested in connection to a shooting Saturday night in New Iberia that resulted in the death of a 39-year-old man.
New Iberia Police Department responded to an active shooting on Daigre Street near the intersection of Tut Street around 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 6. Officers detained two people at the scene.
According to police, it appears an altercation involving a group of people escalated, which led to the shooting.
The investigation is ongoing.
