NEW IBERIA, La. — The Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of an Iberia Parish Jail inmate that happened Nov. 1.
James Moore, 49, of Tupelo, Mississippi, was found unresponsive in the shower area of the jail. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The IPSO Bureau of Investigations is investigating the incident.
