CARENCRO, La. - As the new school year begins, the Lafayette Public Library’s Homeschool Expo returns for its second year.

This free event will take place on Monday, August 26 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Carencro Community Center (next to North Regional Library). There will be information for families ranging from kinder-age to college bound (Ages 4 - 18).

This free event serves as an opportunity for families to network, find and share resources with fellow homeschoolers, and see what the Lafayette Public Library, has to offer. The Library will demonstrate Makerspace equipment as well as some of its digital resources, such as Homework Louisiana, that are available to students. Homeschooling co-ops and several local organizations, such as Vermilionville, Children’s Museum of Acadiana, and the Lafayette Science Museum, will be on hand.

If your organization is interested in having a booth at the Homeschool Expo or for more information about this event, call 337-261-5779 or visit LafayettePublicLibrary.org.
