Cool Mornings-Mild Days

As an upper trough moves eastward, drier air will slid into the region clearing the skies and keeping the temperatures on the cool side today. Just a few clouds will linger over the coastal areas this morning before moving on. Expect sunny skies over all regions for the remainder of the day with afternoon temperatures in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. Even though this will feel much warmer than Thursday's temperatures, we're still way below normal. This time of year, afternoon highs should reach the lower 70s, with overnight temperatures in the lower 50s.

High pressure will continue to dominate this weekend. Clear skies and lighter winds should combine to bring a fairly chilly Saturday morning. Frost will be possible as lows will dip into the lower 30s. Sunny skies return Saturday with highs approaching 60 degrees. Another chilly night is expected Saturday night as lows will drop back into the 30s, but more sunshine is expected Sunday with highs in the lower 60s.

Early next week a nice warming trend is expected as highs will reach the lower 70s. A few showers will be possible late next week.
