NEW IBERIA — The New Iberia Fire Department is investigating a house fire on Paul Street.
It happened Sunday night. Firefighters arrived on scene at 9:47 p.m.
They say a child was sleeping on a sofa in the living room when the fire started but was able to safely escape.
No one was injured.
The house sustained severe damage.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
