Low clouds decided to hang on for an extra day Sunday keeping temperatures a bit cooler. Areas that did get some sunshine Sunday warmed into the 70s. The clouds are still hanging on over a large part of the region this morning. Skies will be mostly cloudy early in the day, while areas not under the cloud cover should see patchy dense fog. Over the course of the morning, clouds will gradually break up, and fog will burn off. This should give way to partly cloudy skies for the afternoon. Highs will reach the mid 70s.

A trough over the Gulf of Mexico will drift westward while a piece of energy moves north of the region. This should bring clouds and scattered showers for the area Tuesday. A deeper trough will dig across the U.S. into the mid week with even chances for rain Wednesday. A strong cold front will push into the area on Halloween. It appears the weather will be mild through early Thursday, then temperatures will fall Thursday afternoon. Showers will linger into Halloween evening, so trick or treaters may be facing a chilly and cold night!

Friday will be windy and cold with temperatures struggling to reach 60!
