EVANGELINE PARISH, La. — A 29-year-old man from Ville Platte was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 106 near Liz's Lane in Evangeline Parish Saturday morning.
James Woodruff III was driving west on the highway when he crashed into a fallen tree blocking both lanes. Woodruff wasn't wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and died at the scene.
This crash remains under investigation.
