The New York Post is reporting that coal mogul Chris Cline's helicopter crashed into the ocean on Thursday as it was heading to Florida for a medical emergency.
According to The Post, relatives reached out to authorities when the helicopter failed to reach Fort Lauderdale, its intended destination.
The Post reports that wreckage of the helicopter was found near Cline's private island and the cause of the crash is still under investigation, but bad weather is not considered a factor.
WBRZ reported on Thursday that Cline and three LSU graduates, including Cline's 22-year-old daughter Kameron, were among the seven killed in the crash.
A vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday to remember the victims.
