KATC's Tools for Schools is in Chataignier this week to give students at Chataignier Elementary some learning tools for STEM.
Mrs. Susan Godwin's class requested STEM materials to make learning more hands-on for he Kindergarten students.
Puzzles, Legos, building blocks and other STEM items were requested and delivered. Godwin says it is a great way for her young students to use their imaginations and develop an early understanding of building and engineering.
"I chose things that I knew the kids could use hands on for learning centers. Puzzles, Legos, building blocks, anything STEM related because our school is a STEM school," Godwin stated. "So, anything that they can use their imagination and create, build vehicles, engineering to kind of get their minds thinking in that sense. So they're really excited and we're really appreciative of everything."
KATC Tools for Schools is sponsored by Jim Olivier's Family of Companies.
