With the hope of bringing joy to her community during COVID-19, one Lafayette artist is displaying her works in her own "Front Yard Art Gallery."

Julie Siracusa says that she displays one large canvas on an easel in her front yard at 103 Tezcuco Court each day, weather permitting.

The impromptu art gallery was constructed by her husband and consists of an easel anchored into the ground.

Siracusa says that walkers, bikers and drivers are welcome to enjoy her art while social distancing.

Videos and photos are posted each day on her Facebook page so that others who can't make it to her home can still enjoy her work.

"I hope I'm giving as much joy as I am getting from my art project," she says.

"Everyday I rotate the art, and I've got neighbors coming down to see what it is all about. Folks are visiting my web and Facebook page now and they just enjoy coming out and seeing something new everyday. It brightens the neighborhood and anyone who comes out to see it."
