The UL Lafayette Ragin Cajuns Women’s Basketball to hold their annual Pink Game and fundraiser this Saturday.

The event is an all-day affair.

KATC’s Scott Brazda was LIVE at the Earl K. Long Gym on UL Lafayette’s Campus with more information.

Registration for the fundraiser begins at 8:00 am followed by a meet and greet with the team and cancer survivors in the Cajundome. Attendees will also have the opportunity to watch as the women’s team warms up.

The inaugural Andrea Brodhead Foundation walk will begin down Cajundome Blvd. at 10:30 am and wind its way around Cajun Field.  One person will be awarded to a UL Student or student’s family in Acadiana fighting cancer.

Those wishing to participate in the walk can do so for $10 on the day of the event. The donation gets those into the Pink Game for free.

The Ragin’ Cajun’s women’s basketball team will take on Texas State beginning at 2:00 pm in the Cajundome. This will be the team’s seventh year going pink for breast cancer awareness.

The Andrea Brodhead Foundation is also accepting donations for the scholarship before the game. Coach Brodhead hopes that the scholarship can become an endowed with the university.
