Creative displays are taking shape at St. Thomas More as students collect canned goods for their annual “Canstruction” food drive.

Scott Brazda was LIVE at St. Thomas More this morning with details on the drive and how students are getting involved.

The goal of the drive is to collect goods to help restock the pantry at St. Joseph’s Diner in Lafayette. Students have been collecting cans to compete against other classes to construct the best display.

This year’s theme is “Home Sweet Home: STM Feeds Acadiana.”

Last year, students collected around 17,000 cans to be donated to St. Joseph Diner. The hope is to collect 20,000 or more cans for donation.
