The Whittington Veterinary Clinic in Abbeville will host the "Anything Over Rice" Fall Festival Cook-off on Saturday, October 19
The festival begins at 10:00 am at their clinic on West Port Street in Abbeville
Veterinarian Dr. Paul Whittington and ''Clyde" stopped by GMA to talk about the cook-off
Teams can enter the competition for $50 dollars or taste local Cajun dishes for $5.
The event will feature live bands, raffle prizes, and a petting zoo. Vendors will also be on hand offering local crafts.
Fun jumps for the kids and other fall festival activities will round out the event.
Whittington says that several dogs ready for adoption will be at the event looking for their new homes.
The clinics adds that all proceeds from the event will benefit Animal Aid for the Vermilion Area and their mission to rescue, care for, and rehome displaced pets.
