UL Lafayette to host home opener against Liberty

The Ragin' Cajuns football team will play its first true home game of the season when it hosts Liberty University September 7 at Cajun Field.

GAME DAY INFO:

Fans are encouraged to wear their best red-colored Ragin' Cajuns gear for the "Red Out" game. The home opener has also been designated as RCAF Appreciation Day and Former Football Player/Alumni Weekend.

Game time is set for 6:30 pm.

Season tickets are still available. Fans can grab their tickets at ragincajuns.com.

UL Lafayette students get in free to Saturday's home game with a valid UL student ID. Students can also purchase one escort ticket per ID at the Student Union prior to game day or at the ticket booths on gameday.

Before the game, fans can enjoy local and regional music in the southwest corner of the stadium.

L'il Nate will perform in the first Under the Oak Tree Concert event of the season.

Cajuns fans unable to make it to Cajun Field can watch the game on ESPN+ or listen on ESPN1420.

Fan-friendly concessions like hot dogs, popcorn and potato chips will be available for $1 each at Cajun Field. Changes to concession prices also include special pricing for draft and canned beer.

PARKING:

Cajun Field parking gates 1, 3, 4, and 5 will open at 8:00 am on game day. Parking gate 2 will open at 12:00 pm.

Parking passes will be required for any parking lots around Cajun Field.

General parking is $10 per car and only credit cards will be accepted as payment.

For those using general parking, the following lot locations will be open: LITE Center, Cajundome, Blackham Coliseum, Hilton Garden Inn and the St. Joseph Parking Tower (Lourdes Property).

Shuttles will run from each parking location to cajun field starting at 9:30 am.

BAGS:

To those bringing a bag to the game, officials say it must be clear.

Clear plastic bags can not exceed 12 inches by six inches by 12

Clutches or small purses can only be 6.5 inches by 4.5 inches.

Fans are allowed a larger bag for medical items and diaper bags are permitted for age appropriate children accompanied by an adult.

Large purses, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, and fanny packs are not allowed.
