On Saturday, the Symphony will share in the sights and sounds of Acadiana at the Heymann Performing Arts Center.
Education Coordinator Michael Zeek joined GMA to tell us more about the event.
"This is Us" will bring the spirit of Acadiana to viewers through the use of local photography paired with the sounds well-known music compositions.
Images of the Acadian people, life and nature assembled by Westwater Arts Photography will be displayed with the playing of Copeland's "Fanfare," Thomson's "Acadian Songs and Dances," Dvorak's "New World Symphony," and Liszt's "Preludes."
The goal of the performance is to create a truly unique local story.
The performance begins at 7:00 pm.
