The St. Landry Chamber of Commerce is marking 100 years of service to businesses and residents of the parish.
In celebration, the Chamber will host their 21st annual Soiree Royale at Evangeline Downs Racetrack and Casino on Monday, September 16.
During the event, 30 chefs from around Acadiana will take part in a friendly culinary competition showcasing their talents and providing tastings for those who attend. 40 different dishes will be up for the first place spot in the seven culinary categories including People's Choice.
Competition and tastings begin at 6:00 pm.
Proceeds from the event will provide continued support to students in St. Landry Parish in the form of the Chamber's scholarship program and to the culture of "Culinary Excellence in St. Landry Parish."
