For two weekends in October, St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas will offer cemetery tours educating visitors on how the past has shaped the present.
This year's theme entitled, "Founders of Our Past," will take guests back in time to hear the voices of the past reflect on times gone by.

Tours of St. Landry Catholic Church Cemetery will last one hour and take place at the following dates and times.
- Saturday, October 12 - 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30 & 8:00 pm
- Sunday, October 13 - 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm (handicapped accessible tour 3:00 pm)
- Saturday, October 19 - 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30 & 8:00 pm
- Sunday, October 20 - 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm (handicapped accessible tour 3:00 pm)
The reneactments are presented by the St. Landry Catholic Church Parish and Opelousas Little Theatre.
Tours are $10 per person and will be limited to groups of 15.
Walking shoes are required and not all tours are handicapped accessible. Two 3:00 pm Sunday tours will be made handicapped accessible.
Organizers say the tours are not suitable, for safety reasons, for young children under 10 years of age.
