The Wednesday before Thanksgiving, runners will light up Acadiana for the 17th annual Camellia Crossing: Acadiana's Gleaux Run benefiting Miles Perret Cancer Services.

Miles Perret Cancer Services (MPCS) in lighting up the night sky for the 17th Annual Camellia Crossing: Acadiana’s Gleaux Run which is set for November 27, 2019.
This 1-mile walk and 5K run will take place on Thanksgiving Eve at 5:30pm in River Ranch Town Square. The race is kicked off down Camellia Boulevard, followed by an after party in River Ranch Town Square.
Camellia Crossing Gleaux Run is held in support of Miles Perret Cancer Services. Runners and walkers are invited to sign up as a team or as individuals and take part in the event’s fun GLEAUX theme.
Participants are encouraged to show their support for MPCS by wearing things that glow, light up, blink, and flash. Proceeds from this event will aid Miles Perret Cancer Services in its mission to help local families Fight, Survive, & Live with cancer.
Registration for the Gleaux Run is open online until Monday, November 25 at midnight. Those interested can register online at milesperret.org or at the Miles Perret Cancer Services Office.
The cost to run is $35 for those 12 and under and $40 for adults.
The nighttime run comes with a glow-in-the-dark t-shirt and a lots of glow swag like rings and bracelets. Accessories can also be purchased at the Miles Perret Gleaux Mart.
Activities during the event also include food and drink, kids play area and other entertainment.
