The Lafayette Parish council will meet first at 5:00 pm at Lafayette City Hall followed by a joint meeting with both councils.

The Lafayette City Council will hold its own meeting in council chambers beginning at 6:30 pm.

Two separate agendas and one joint agenda will be considered.

On those agendas is a resolution that would approve the appointment of Lafayette attorney Gregory J Logan as city attorney.

New Mayor-President Josh Guillory will also introduce an ordinance to split public works into two departments, one for drainage and one for traffic, roads and bridges.

The city will also vote on possible annexation of additional land into Lafayette city limits and amending the official map of the City of Lafayette.
