Acadiana is in the throws of kitten season and Acadiana Animal Aid is looking for volunteers, fosters, and adopters for the many cats and kittens at the shelter.

The shelter has around 475 cats in their care and are looking for help from volunteers at their off-site adoption locations. The locations provide an opportunity to adopt out cats in Lafayette rather than having people go out to the shelter.

The opportunities take place once a week at Petco and PetSmart in Lafayette and last about an hour.. Volunteers will be tasked with taking care of cat cages during the adoption events.

The shelter is also in need of fosters this season. Those willing to take a cat temporarily into their home can contact Acadiana Animal Aid or stop by the shelter for more information.
