Organizers are preparing for their annual Zydeco Marathon.
The two-day event starts on Friday, March 6 and concludes on March 8.
On Friday at 3:00 pm Packet Pickup will begin for runners at Rock n' Bowl in Downtown Lafayette.
A VIP Party will be held on Friday night at 6:30 pm. Entertainment for the night will featuring Dustin Sonnier beginning at 9:00 pm.
The VIP Party is $30.
There are running options for participants of all skill levels.
For the kids, a 1 mile fun run will start on Saturday, March 7 beginning and ending at Rock n' Bowl.
And a 5K Run will take participants through the scenic Saint Streets area before ending just in time for the Zydeco Breakfast.
On Sunday, March 8 runners get prepared for the half and full Zydeco Marathon.
The race begins at 7:00 am at Jefferson and Vermilion and winds its way through the streets of Lafayette before ending at Park International.
A "Finish Line Festival" will welcome runners until around 2:00 pm with the Bayou Boys on stage.
The after-party continues back a Rock n' Bowl where Chubby Carrier will take the stage to end out a day of racing.
