Nominations are now open for this year's annual teacher awards hosted by The Lafayette Education Foundation.
For over 10 years the Lafayette Education Foundation has hosted the teachers awards honoring outstanding pre-K through twelfth grade educators across Lafayette Parish Public,Private and Parochial Schools.
The event has an Academy Awards style with cheering fans,interviews and a red carpet.
There are four categories from which finalist are chosen for the award. A top finalist will be chosen from each of the four categories. Each finalist will receive a cash award of $1,000 with top receiving $1,500.
Students,parents,fellow educators and members of the Lafayette community are welcome to nominate. To nominate a teacher for the award go online and click on the teacher awards link.
The deadline to nominate a teacher is October 31st.
