In about a month, Lafayette General will kick off their annual Zydeco Marathon weekend in Downtown Lafayette.
The two day event begins on Saturday, March 7th with a 1 mile and 5K run on Jefferson Street.
The race ends with a Zydeco Breakfast at Rock n' Bowl de Lafayette at 10:00 am.
On Sunday, March 8, the second day of running gets underway with the Marathon & Half Marathon.
The marathon begins at 7:00 am on Jefferson Street and finishes at Parch International.
Runners can pick up their registration packets on Friday, March 6 at Rock n' Bowl de Lafayette from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm during their "Packet Pickup Party." Live music will be performed by Dustin Sonnier starting at 9 p.m.
Race day packets will only be available during the packet pick up party.
